Case Study - Nursery Building, Kent
Located in Sidcup and commissioned by the Local Authority, this purpose built Modular Building now provides a modern, safe and much needed Nursery facility to the school. This Prefabricated Building provides a total floor area of 162 sq. m and incorporates a large play area, children's toilets, disabled toilets and shower, a staff room, kitchen and entrance lobby. A hot/cold air conditioning system keeps the rooms at a constant temperature whilst the children play on a carpeted floor. A separate area covered in anti-slip vinyl is provided for wet play. Externally, the walls are finished in easily maintainable plastisol steel and the roof is constructed with a 20 degree pitch - weatherproofed with a Britmet roofing system. An additional 64 sq. m external learning area is protected from the elements by a lightweight canopy on a level tarmac surface.
