Case Study - Hall/Dance/Music Studio, North London
Located in North London and commissioned by a local Junior School, this four bay, purpose built, prefabricated Hall/Dance/Music Studio now offers the school the much needed additional space that they desperately needed. This Modular Building (which is linked into the existing school) provides 122 sq. m of usable dance space, a 13 sq. m music room, boys and girls toilets and shower facilities. A hot/cold air conditioning system (complete with heat exchanger to optimise energy consumption) maintains the rooms at a constant temperature throughout. Externally, the walls are finished in brick slips to match the existing school and the roof is constructed with a mono-pitch flat roofing system covered with a hard wearing 'Hypalon' blanket. This facility was squeezed into a spare bedding plant area between an existing classroom and the perimeter fence. No room to spare but the children are certainly enjoying the benefits!
