Education - Extension to a Traditional Build
Located in the London Borough of Bexley and commissioned by a local Private School, this two storey Prefabricated Building now provides twelve additional classrooms to the existing school complex. This Modular Building is permanently connected and linked at both levels to the existing Victorian school. Externally, the building is clad with 'brick slips' to match the existing school brickwork. The site applied 'traditional' 20 degree pitched roof has Decra roof tiles and ten opening Velux roof-lights. Internally, the building is partitioned to accommodate the preferred classroom layout and is finished with easily maintainable vinyl faced plasterboard. Also provided are two internal timber staircases, a disabled passenger lift and a sound reducing concertina partition wall. A heat/cool air conditioning system keeps the fully carpeted classrooms at a constant temperature and the building is fully equipped with IT, fire and intruder alarms.
