Following the recent and successful installation of 2 No. modular classroom buildings at a Junior School in Northfleet, Kent - we were commissioned to provide a matching SEN/DT building c/w studio/small hall. This 8 No. bay modular building provides a gross floor area of 216 sq. metres and also incorporates a central circulation area, 1 No. disabled WC, 2 No. pupil WC’s and 2 No. stores. Heating throughout is provided by way of building regulation compliant wall mounted air conditioning units c/w electric background heating. The SEN/DT areas and WC's have BB93 compliant suspended ceilings whereas the studio/small hall has a higher 2.60m plastered ceiling providing a suitable place for assembly. All light fittings are recessed providing an attractive, up-to-date and modern finish. Externally, the walls and fascia are finished in vertical western red cedar cladding whilst the skirt/plinth is finished in low maintenance plastisol steel. The factory fitted mono-pitch roof is covered with a hard wearing “Fatra Ekoplan” membrane which falls towards the black uPVC guttering and rainwater goods. The double glazed brown uPVC windows compliment the cedar walls whilst the clear polycarbonate canopies enhance the 2 No. entrances to the building and provide shelter for both staff and pupils alike...
