Located in Long Eaton, Derbyshire and commissioned by the Local Authority, this purpose built, 9 bay Modular Building provides a modern, safe and much needed additional "triple classroom block" to the school. This prefabricated Classroom Building provides a total floor area of 260 sq. m and comprises of 3 No. classrooms, each providing nearly 60 sq. m of teaching space, a fully equipped and DDA compliant disabled toilet, 6 No. pupil's toilets, 2 No. staff toilets, 1 No. cleaners store and 1 No. plant room, all accessed off a large lobby/cloakroom. A gas fired boiler & ceiling mounted assisted convector heaters keep the fully carpeted classrooms at a constant temperature. A suspended ceiling system c/w integrated lighting is provided throughout. The building is fully compliant with all Building Regulations including BB93 & L2A. Externally, the walls of this Portable Classroom Building are finished in Marley Eternit cladding panels (of varying colours), the windows are white powder coated aluminium and compliment the doors which are blue powder coated aluminium c/w white frames. The roof is constructed with a raised parapet detail concealing a mono pitched flat roofing system finished with an Icopal membrane.
